The Old Mutual Wealth Double Century sees more than 3 000 riders on the road, and as such it is vital for everyone’s safety that the rules of the event are read and understood by all.
All cyclists must obey the instructions of marshals on the ground and on bikes. If you see/hear a marshal with a whistle, please be advised that a danger zone is approaching. Please exercise caution immediately!
As this event does not have complete road closures, cyclists must keep to the left of the centre white line at all times and allow vehicles to overtake. Failure to comply with this rule will lead to the disqualification of the entire team.
The N2 is dangerous with fast-moving traffic. You must therefore cycle in single file within the road shoulder and exercise extreme caution when overtaking.
